portraits

We were working on photos i felt like a professional... even tough i know nothing more then the rest of the  people. we worked on the rule of thirds i actually learned how. People didn't want to have pictures taken so i was in some of them. if you look at the first picture you can see that my eyes are actually shining. so i think i learned how to use the rule of thirds!

Tuesday, March 29, 2011

this is a portrait that my friend Nahum took. It was a a trick that i fell for. He made me look back and i was turning again and snap he took the picture. he tried to use the rule of thirds to focus on the eyes.

Patricia Torres took this picture of me...
i took the top picture
and Patricia Torres took this one
...
so we were taking pictures or also called full body portraits. They looked good.  we used the rule of thirds and tried to use the sun to shine on us to give it different effects. We worked hard on these pictures. We learned that when you use the rule of the thirds you try to focus on the person eyes of the person. when you see a professional picture you see the persons eyes shine. that is what they want you to see.

Pottraits......

this is maria

this is ME

this is pats
Yesterday we were taking portraits. We were taking the rule of thirds that is when you focus on the eyes and make them shine. We were also making the sun shine in different angles. We did that so that each picture had a different point of view. We took some pictures  but like my friend kept on taking the puppy dog face and we couldn't get the rule of thirds much.  her eye is shiny but i think that is the only picture were we did that. she didn't want to take her hair out of her face so you cant see her other eye.

CLAYMATION

This is actually something that we did in PHOTOGRAPHY!!! It was fun but my head fell of a lot (my clay person) we got to use play-do and clay. I said last posts i cant upload a video but i can a picture!
What we did was like the movie Wallace and Gromitt. These characters were characters made of clay and the movie is a Claymation. Claymation is when you make people or items made of clay then you slowly move them for each picture. When you see the pictures in fast motion it actually looks like movement. This is a hard thing to do for a living because the frames can’t actually look like they didn’t move but they did barely and if you move it to much it won’t look like movement. The skill this photographer has is patience and arts and crafts plus you need know who to use the angles.

history of photography

As the year past the cameras became better.

At first there was a camera which the pictures smelled bad and it took hours to take a picture. Then there were cameras that were faster but they still were bad. They were mostly boxes because you had to be perfectly still and then... It was dark inside and only had a little bit of sun going thru....now in day they are better because you don’t have to be smiling for 3 hours for one picture. Now they are fast easy and they don’t smell bad!!!!

Pringles Pin Hole Camara

I made a camera out of boxes and a pringles can.......yup i wouldn’t believe it either but it’s real.

Creating the camera was not hard. These are the steps I did:

You buy a pringles can and get scissors, empty boxes, soda can, and you need tape, scissors. You need to eat the pringles can. Make sure its empty and clean. Spray paint the inside of the pringles can. Leave it to dry for a day with out the lid on. You make a hole in the pringles can. You cut of a piece of the soda can of and make it sharp less with sand paper. Then you make a really small tiny hole with a needle in the piece of the soda can. Then you cut out boxes material and then you have a shutter and a black and white camera.

The inside has to be black because for to the view to copy into the special paper you need it to be dark. The shutter is used because you need only 30 sec of sunlight to get the view on the paper so after 30sec we close it. The camera can only make black and white pictures. i will post pics of my awesome pringles camera....and picture i took with it.

These pictures were inspired by the old cameras named Polaroid camera.
